Monday we had family pictures in Burley. On our way back Kaden started crying saying that his ear was hurting really bad. The boys had both not been feeling well, running temps and all that good stuff since their flu shots the week before. So we decided that we were going to take them straight to the doctor. Boy, do I feel like the worst mom on earth. They both were put on antibiotics for strep throat, Kaden also had an ear infection, and they both had raging colds! I think that as a nurse you know how often kids are taken to the doctor to be told it's just a virus and they have to work their way through it so you hate to run them to the doctor for every illness. I had no idea my boys were in such bad shape! Kaden never once complained of a sore throat. I think kids should come with message boards that you can check to see what's going on inside those little bodies! They are feeling alot better now, if we could just get rid of those little runny noses! On Thanksgiving we went and had dinner at my parents house. We had a really nice time and ate a ton of very yummy food, way too much!! Friday night we went and watched the fireworks for "Christmas in the Nightime Sky," after our thanksgiving leftovers of course. Our boys loved it! On Saturday morning we woke up early and drove to Boise to see Karl's sister's family that had drove in from Colorado for Thanksgiving, and to see his dad's pictures from his trip to India. We had a fun dinner and some very interesting treats that his dad had brought back with him. Keegan got a cute little Indian outfit, an adorable elephant pillow and they both got cute little toys. Kaden got a new mask to add to his collection and Karl's dad brought him back a turban like the men wear there. He loved it! As we were driving home that night I looked into the backseat of our car and there Kaden was, fast asleep in his jammies with his cute little turban on top of his head. We had a very nice trip. It's always good to see family!
